Community Buildings Energy Support Grant

Worcestershire County Council (WCC) has established the Worcestershire Community Buildings Energy Support Grant through the Crisis and Resilience Fund from the UK Government to provide targeted financial assistance to community buildings experiencing financial pressure due to rising heating costs where oil or LPG is the primary heating source.

The grant aims to support the continued operation of community buildings that provide resilience, wellbeing and community support activities for residents.

 

Purpose of the grant

• Supports community buildings at risk from increased heating costs.

• Prioritises organisations demonstrating financial need.

• Enables community buildings to remain open and accessible.

• Helps sustain services that contribute to community resilience and wellbeing.

 

*The funding is intended for not-for-profit organisations operating community buildings within Worcestershire who can demonstrate that the building supports local communities through activities such as Warm Spaces; Support for vulnerable or isolated residents; Health and wellbeing and Social activities.

The organisation applying must demonstrate financial need.*

Please note: As a condition of the award funded organisations must promote the Worcestershire Household Oil and LPG Support Scheme delivered by Act on Energy Oil and LPG Energy Support Scheme | Act On Energy and encourage the signposting of residents to wider cost of living and the Crisis and Resilience Fund activities.
