Community First want to recruit volunteers who will become One Step Friends, supporting Village Halls or other community hubs to take a proactive role in tackling loneliness and isolation in their rural community.
We know many people do not find it easy to make that step without direct encouragement, especially those feeling isolated or lonely. There is a need for ‘buddies’ to help people take the one step from home to activities and support.
There are many ways in which you can get involved, which can be small, that can help enormously.
