Guest Speaker - Simon Trickett- CCG Accountable Officer

Simon is the Accountable Officer for the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) in Herefordshire and is responsible for ensuring that the CCG succeeds with its strategic business objectives and works effectively with other partner agencies and stakeholders. Simon joined the NHS in 2008, as Director of Communication and Community Engagement for the then Worcestershire PCT.

It is timely that Simon is joining us, at a time that the CCGs of Herefordshire and Worcestershire are seeking to form a single CCG for the two counties.

At the same time as income streams are deteriorating, partly because of the withdrawal of the public sector and partly because changing demographics and social experiences, there is a call for increased involvement of the VCS in providing vital services. We have to step up to the mark and deliver in a range of different areas. As an “infrastructure organisation” Community First has a special role to play in helping to set the direction of travel for the sector. Our AGM is an opportunity – together – to consider what action is required to support healthy rural communities.

Networking - catch up and make new contacts

A market place for VCSE organisations and groups will be available, to show what you do and to make information available. Please come at 4pm to find a space for your publicity.
