Worcestershire County Council announces grants to voluntary and community sector organisations

Worcestershire County Council has released details of the successful applicants to Round 1 of its community grants and strategic grants programmes for the voluntary and community sector.  A total of £953,000 has been awarded to 45 organisations across the county.  A full list is available at www.worcestershire.whub.org.uk/home/wcc-voluntary-sector.htm

Many of these voluntary sector organisations which work with children and young people have been supported through the Local Network Fund, administered by Community First.

Round 2 of Worcestershire County Council's grants programme will be launched in September 2008 and details will be made available as soon as we have them.
