WAC launches new Worcestershire Integrated Carers Hub 1st July

The new Carers Hub is funded by Worcestershire County Council and the three Clinical Commissioning Groups and is launced on 1st July The Hub will build on existing services and develop support for carers across the county. Worcestershire Assocation of Carers (WAC) is looking forward to working with partners to reach out to more unpaid carers through the new Hub.

Partner update

The Hub provides  a single point of access to Information, Advice and Support for Worcestershire’s 63,000 unpaid adult carers. It builds on the services delivered by Worcestershire Association of Carers under the previous Information, Advice and Support and GP Carer Support contracts.

Referrals should be made using  the new referral form attached or by calling the helpline on 0300 012 4272 (open 9am – 7pm Monday to Friday and 9am -12noon Saturday).

Please ensure electronic referrals forms come via a  secure network. WAC is currently accepting referrals via NHS email, post, Fax or telephone.

The service offer is broadly the same but will continue to evolve to meet the needs of carers. Further updates will follow over the coming weeks and months as the new service develops and staff move into their new roles.
