Village SOS News Flash

On the One Programme (Monday 1st June BBC1 7pm) the Village SOS Programme was launched.

This is about £3m of funding from the BIG Lottery Fund to support the development of rural community enterprise projects. It will be centred on 6 villages located in the UK but it offers the opportunity for much more in terms of support to enterprising rural communities.

It is an opportunity to develop and showcase rural social enterprises on BBC TV.

It will support learning and development of social enterprises in villages and their surrounding community.

SEWM and partner organisations are looking to offer help to village groups and organisations wishing to take part.
