Rural Community Broadband Fund Opens for Applications
Defra and Broadband Delivery UK (BDUK) have announced that the Rural Community Broadband Fund (RCBF) is now open for applications.Under the fund, £20 million is available in grants to communities to establish superfast broadband in hard-to-reach areas. The fund is open to Local Authorities; Social enterprises; Community Interest Companies; Community trusts; Charities; Private Businesses (non-ISPs); and Other formally constituted groups.
Applicants need to submit an Expression of Interest form by the 31st January 2012.
