Martin Punaks is celebrating a fantastic achievement by Charities Evaluation Services.

He writes:

"Charities Evaluation Services have received the Effectiveness Award at The Charity Awards 2008 for its work on PQASSO. The judges said that PQASSO has made 'a very serious impact in terms of raising standards across the voluntary and community sector'.

"The event was attended Jean Barclay (CES Chair), Sam Matthews (Director of Services), Jean Ellis (Senior Consultant), Mirella Grillo (Lead for PQASSO Quality Mark) and myself (see photo).

"Mirella and I were fortunate enough to be able to go up and collect the award. In our acceptance speech Mirella said 'PQASSO is only as good as the organisations it supports'.

"I would like to echo this sentiment by saying thank you to all of you as PQASSO mentors, and congratulations as well! PQASSO's success can be attributed to the many people who have been involved in it from the designers, trainers and administrators here at CES, to the PQASSO mentors who have championed it, through to the groups who have used it to improve their work and ultimately change people's lives.

"The award for PQASSO is an award for all of us, so you should all be very proud of yourselves!"
