Welcome to the Nexus Grants Programme. The following pages will provide you with information about the groups that were supported through this grant scheme during the life of the programme.
96 projects in total were supported by Nexus during 2006 - 2010, allocating a total budget of £495,945.10.
The purpose of this scheme was to establish a small community grants programme in the Rural Regeneration Zone, which would be focused on improving access to services and facilities for rural communities. In particular, support will be provided for project activity pertaining to:
a) The adaptation of buildings to provide new service provision
b) Establishment or enhancement of outreach services to improve accessibility for rural communities
Adults and families were the primary beneficiary groups; with training, counselling, ICT, health advice and leisure being some of the services which we aimed to support voluntary and community organisations to address through this programme.
