Information Advice and Guidance (IAG)

IAG for Individuals

Community First's highly successful Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) programme is geared towards the voluntary sector and is for people who want to consider their future career options or who want to make the most of training or learning opportunities. Working across Herefordshire and Worcestershire, IAG offers in depth one-to-one sessions with a qualified adviser.

Your IAG advisor will help you explore training, learning, volunteering, work opportunities and your personal development to help you make decisions about your future pathway. This service is delivered at a time and place  that is convenient to you. It is confidential and impartial.

IAG for Organisations

Many voluntary organisations have already built IAG into their volunteer supervision programmes or induction programmes.

IAG can help your organisation by:
  • Providing a  service that complements any internal monitoring and supervision process that you might have (Managers often feel they do not have the time to support their staff as much as they would like.)

  • Helping individual staff and volunteers to feel valued

  • Providing an extension to your work

  • Promoting skills development

  • Promoting learning

  • Promoting volunteering

Community First's IAG service has been accredited through the Matrix Standard, a unique quality framework for the effective delivery of information, advice and/or guidance on learning and work
