Personalisation

What does this really mean?

The Principles of Personalisation  presentation provided by Angela Buckley from Worcestershire County Council which you can download below sets out the background and main features of the personalisation agenda in Worcestershire

You will also find below a Glossary explaining the terms used in personalisation for you to download.

Community First will soon be providing further support to local voluntary sector organisations around the personalisation agenda, so watch this space and our training pages for further details coming soon.

Personalisation (formerly known as Choice and Control):
“What it means is that everyone who receives care and support, regardless of their level of need, in any setting, whether from statutory services, the third and community or private sector or by funding it themselves, will have choice and control over how that care and support is delivered.” To find out more download the documents below:

Think Local Act Personal
"Making it Real" is a document which outlines a new framework developed with the involvement of 30 national organisations including service users and carers.  The framework represents a voluntary movement for change based on the expectations of citizens.  It asks the question: "If Personalisation was working well, what would it be like?" It provides a means to mark progress around key themes and organisations will be able to sign up from 2012 to demonstrate commitment  - however, you can start using the framework immediately by downloading the leaflet "Making it Real".
