Men and Mental Health
The image of the ‘tough man’ who keeps a stiff upper lip and handles all of his problems on his own is deeply ingrained in society. It is so powerful that men of all ages and cultural backgrounds are both less likely to recognise when they have a serious mental health problem and less likely to seek services for the problem.
