Healthwatch Worcestershire succeeds in bid to continue its services

Worcestershire County Council is delighted to announce that Healthwatch Worcestershire has been successful in their bid to continue to offer the ‘Local Healthwatch’ service in Worcestershire.

Healthwatch Worcestershire is an Independent organisation which champions the views of patients, the public and consumers on health and social care issues in the County. The service aims to find out what the public thinks about health and social care services and support people to have their say on how health and social care services can be improved. Local Healthwatch directly supports people in the County by giving them information or signposting them to the services they need.

Dr Frances Howie said "Healthwatch Worcestershire have been successful in gathering insight on the public's perception of Worcestershire's health and social care services and representing these at decision making bodies across the County. It will help those bodies have a better understanding of the views of people who are using these services"
