Community First is committed to building the capacity of the voluntary and community sector and funding is an important part of this.

Up to £1,000 for small, local projects to create new arts opportunities, reach new audiences and enable people from all walks of life to take part in arts and cultural activities. Available in both Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Funded by the Elmley Foundation. Total annual pot £30,000.
This grant scheme closed in March 2008.
A maximum of £1,000 to cover up to 75% of the cost of producing a Parish Plan for communities in Worcestershire. Funded by Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Total pot £10,000.
Up to £2,000 (in exceptional circumstances up to £10,000) for voluntary or community groups in Worcestershire to use sport and exercise to strengthen communities and provide opportunities for people who are excluded or disadvantaged. Funded by Comic Relief and BBC Sport.
Up to £5,000 for rural projects focusing on access to services and facilities for rural communities. Available to parts of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire. Funded by Advantage West Midlands. Total pot £425,000
