FREE TRAINING - Energy auditing for your community building

A one day course at Areley Kings Village Hall, Stourport on Severn, Worcestershire

Date: Wednesday 17 March 2010

Time - 9:45am (for a 10:00am start) to 4:30pm

If you would like to be able to carry out a basic energy audit of a community building then this course will show you some of the processes involved. This includes monitoring consumption and identifying the potential savings that could be made by implementing energy efficient measures. There will also be a short introduction to funding your project

What you will learn:

  • The services that Green Communities offers and what it can do for you
  • The principles of energy monitoring and consumption analysis
  • How to understand meter readings and bills
  • What is involved in an energy audit
  • How to identify and control of different types of heating
  • Which types of heating are efficient and appropriate, depending on needs
  • Specific issues relating to heat loss and insulation
  • Opportunities for reducing consumption and increasing energy efficiency
  • The basics of some small scale renewable energy technologies
  • Funding your energy efficiency project
