Elmley Small Arts Fund Grant - FREE money up to £1,000!

Would an Elmley Small Grant help turn your ideas into reality?

Grants of up to £1,000 are available in Herefordshire and Worcestershire for community-led, community-managed arts-based events and activities and for community-owned arts equipment.

Funded by the Elmley Foundation, the Events and Activities grant can help local groups to organise new arts and cultural activities, particularly in areas where these kinds of events rarely take place. Applicants are expected to show that people from all walks of life will be encouraged to take part, either as participants or as part of the audience.

The Arts Equipment grant enables community groups to purchase equipment which will help to improve access to the arts locally and applicants will need to show that the equipment will make a long-lasting impact and will be used regularly by a range of groups in the community.

Community groups, Village hall committees, Womens Institutes, Playschemes and other such small organizations can apply for this funding. You do not have to be formally constituted, but must have a bank account requiring two signatures.

Eligible activities include workshops for local people, local youth group video projects, art classes, creative dance, pottery classes, sculpture workshops, photography projects, poetry reading, music groups, community festivals and many more.

If you have any questions about your eligibility or whether your ideas fit the Elmley Small Grants Arts Fund, please contact Sophie Mead, Grants Administrator at Community First, on 01684 312734 or e-mail sophiem@comfirst.org.uk . General enquires should go to Andrea Cooper at Community First on 01684 312730 or e-mail andreac@comfirst.org.uk .
