Community hwb (Health & Wellbeing)

Welcome to Worcestershire’s Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) health and wellbeing initiative.  This project is managed by Community First  on behalf of the VCS.

We encourage and support collaborative activities, helping to secure the best health and wellbeing outcomes for Worcestershire people.

We aim to connect community groups, charities, social enterprises and not for profit organisations with each other.  We also focus on strengthening links with statutory partners including NHS Trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Worcestershire County Council and the 6 District Councils.

We work with Worcestershire Voices, the strategic board for the VCS, in Worcestershire.  We co-ordinate the specialist Health and Wellbeing theme throughout the Sector.

We communicate with VCS organisations and stakeholders by:

• Informing
• Engaging
• Representing

We also work alongside the county’s 3 NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups. Membership of these schemes enables on-going engagement so that health and wellbeing organisations can be involved and have their say in local activities with NHS commissioners.
