Co-production Report June 2015

Dear All

I am pleased to attach the final version of the  Young Foundation’s report on the second round coproduction held in June 2016

I have held back on delivering this to you deliberately, because it took a little while to negotiate the focus of the final phase and get the various authorities to agree the focus as well as the plan of activity. Because the report recommended several options which were being explored with the respective decision makers, it seemed premature to circulate the report until the final details were agreed and avoid causing any confusion.

Following the success of the county wide coproduction workshops earlier in 2015 the Young Foundation agreed with funders ArdenGem Commissioning Support Unit together with the Clinical Commissioners for, Wyre Forest, Redditch and Bromsgrove and Healthwatch Worcestershire, that the final phase of the programme, will focus on the coproduced development and design of the Care Navigator role closely assisted by Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. The first and second round of whole systems workshops showed that patients, carers and professionals believed that such a role would help them negotiate the health and care system.

ALSO if you are interested and have not already done so or if you are a PATIENT you are strongly encouraged to help out with the next phase of the work in these smaller workshop events. More Details attached:

EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN WORKSHOPS – 11TH AND 22ND FEBRUARY 2016

We are inviting volunteers us join us to co-design develop the elements of the care navigator role that are most important to service users and patients. The idea here, is to involve relevant participants at an early stage of the development process.

For more information on each workshop please read the download invitation.

We are simultaneously holding the design workshops on February 11 in Redditch and Kidderminster followed by another at the two same locations on February 22nd 2016.

Please express an interest in attending only, if you can attend both workshops as they are arranged to build upon one another. These workshops will be limited in numbers to 20 participants, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis but an eye will be kept to ensure a balance between patients and professionals. Please email if you are keen and available to attend.

The workshops are currently planned from around 11am - 4.00pm.

For those of you living or working in Redditch and Bromsgrove the workshop will be held here:
