Changes across adult mental health in Worcestershire

In April the Health and Care Trust will launch a new enhanced service to support people experiencing mental health problems to get help early.

It will be run by our Worcestershire Healthy Minds team (formerly the Primary Care Mental Health Team) and will include help to improve mental wellbeing through groups and courses run in the local community and through support from mental health professionals, which together will help people cope with things like anxiety, stress and worry.

Commissioners have requested that funding be re-allocated from some secondary care mental health services into supporting the development of the new Worcestershire Healthy Minds service. Over the last few weeks we’ve been running workshops with interested stakeholders, including service users, to re-design some of our secondary care services ahead of formal consultation set to start shortly.
