Assessment process - Sport Relief

The panel meet regularly to assess the applications that have been submitted. They assess each application on its own merits, this is why we recommend submitting good ideas as soon as possible. The panel are all members of the Worcestershire Community Foundation and are responsible for the allocation of Sport Relief resources.

Visit our how to apply section to see the areas the assessors are keen to know more about.

We aim to notify you of the decision within 3 days of the panel meeting and provide feedback wherever possible. If you have been unsuccessful, we will offer advice about how your application can be improved.

If you are successful in applying to the fund, you will be asked to complete a contract which commits you to:

  • ensuring monies are spent according to the original application
  • contacting Worcestershire Community Foundation immediately if the project is likely to have an under spend
  • using the sport relief logo on all related publicity and link to www.sportrelief.com
  • gathering case studies and evidence of project impact to share as best practice
  • not making any changes to the budget or activity without written permission
  • completing the monitoring form provided during and at the end of the project
  • returning whole or part of the grant if it is not used in accordance with this agreement
  • retaining evidence of expenditure and financial records for 6years
  • being audited at any time by parties related to the administration of sport relief to assess the project and finance delivery

Invoices should be submitted for the full amount with your contract and sent to:
