Agreement of the Health and Wellbeing Board Priorities 2016-2021

One of the big news items from Public Health Worcestershire is the agreement of the Health and Wellbeing Board priorities for its new five year strategy (2016-21).

After a long process of consultation and stakeholder engagement it was
Confirmed by the Health & Wellbeing Board that the vision will remain the same 'Worcestershire residents are healthier, live longer and have a better quality of life, especially those communities and groups with the poorest health outcomes'.

The priorities for the Health & Wellbeing Board for 2016 - 21 will be:

• Good mental health and well-being throughout life – areas of focus, under 5s and their parents, young people, older people, populations with poorer health outcomes
• Being active at every age – areas of focus, under 5s and their parents, older people, populations with poorer health outcomes
• Reducing harm from alcohol at all ages – areas of focus, middle aged, older people, populations with poorer health outcomes
