Inter Generations Worcester (IGW)aimed to help reduce loneliness in Worcestershire

Inter Generations Worcester (IGW) is a home share scheme delivered by Vestia Community Trust in partnership with the University of Worcester and Worcestershire County Council.  IGW has been developed as part of the reducing loneliness campaign here in Worcestershire.

The scheme  matches socially isolated older people (age 55+) who have spare accommodation/bedroom with students from the University of Worcester.  In return for the room, the student (or homesharer) will provide help around the home, which will vary for each homeshare.  It may include things like cooking, gardening, shopping and simply companionship.

Both parties are supported by and in regular contact with the IGW team throughout the entire process and placement.

For further information or if you know someone who benefit from this scheme please visit  https://www.vestia.org.uk/intergen/  or view our information videos at https://www.vestia.org.uk/intergen/video.php

Please note that the homesharer does not provide personal care and there is no financial  cost to the householder,  If you are aware of anyone that may benefit from this, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
